2. Missing, Cracked, or Curling Shingles
Shingles that are visibly cracked, missing, or curling at the edges are no longer doing their job. Curling — whether the edges cup upward or the center pushes up — is a sign that the shingles have lost their flexibility and are near the end of their life.
